No photo Z7 [solved: hardware defect]

We tested as good as we can. But there will always be things we didn't find. If you found things that apparently don't work as they should, you can report them here so we can take care of them as soon as possible.

Installed the N2 on the nikon Z7. I can change settings and geotagging works. But I can not use the trigger button, it starts autofocussing but never takes the photo... What am I doing wrong?

The most likely issue is that since you're not looking through the camera, it's not pointed at something with enough features or contrast to be able to focus. so after hunting focus for a while, it gives up. Try triggering with the shutterbutton on the camera without moving it, and then try setting the lens to manual focus, or pointing the camera at something with more contrast so it can achieve focus easily.

I hope that's all!

Thanks for the fast answer, but alas this did not solve the problem. ..
Well lighted circumstances an plenty of contrast
Kinda strange, installed/ deinstalled the app, reconnect several times change the the lens. I have no more options to think of..

Can you try triggering by directly pressing on the camera's shutter button? If you can shoot with the camera you should be able to shoot with the app too.

Also, how long does it take for the camera to focus and finally take the shot? How long do you have to keep the button pressed? If you just "tap" on the trigger button in the app, the Unleashed will stop trying to shoot after a couple of seconds. If you keep the button pressed in the app, that should behave the same as if you were holding the button down in the camera itself.

That is weird. Maybe there is some bug I am not aware of. Do you have an iOS device? If you do, you can sign up for the beta for which we have fixed tons of issues. Maybe your case is something that is already addressed by the new firmware.

Can you trigger from the app if you change to manual focus?
