Hi,
Using android app with N2 (D7200).
When I activate the GPS my phone dings every time the GPS sends an update to camera.
Is there any way to turn off the sound?
android version 8.0.0
app version 0.9.5
Thanks.
Michael
Android App GPS dinging [solved]
Hi Michael,
Oh no, that sounds very annoying!
We had to activate that notification for android to allow us to get GPS data while the app is in the background. I'll ask our android developers if that can be generally silenced from within our app.
It should be possible to turn off the sound for individual app notifications in your system settings though, but I'm not an Android user, so I can't tell you any more details.

OK, just checked:
System settings->Notifications & status bar->App notifications->Unleashed
you can turn off sound and vibration.
We'll look into it why it was on in the first place.
don't turn off the notification itself for now though, I'm not sure if Background GPS will still work without it getting shown, I asked our android guys to look into that too.
