I recently purchased an Unleashed 18 C1 and it does not auto-ramp my Canon 5DS R even when the lighting changes dramatically. The device firmware is 2.2.5. I've tried the different algorithms but the camera settings do not ramp even when I lighten or darken the shot by putting on/taking off ND filters as a test. Please help, I was very much looking forward to using this device in my time-lapse workflow.
Unleashed 18 C1 not auto ramping Canon 5DS R
Hi Peter,
That is odd, and obviously should not be the case. Could you send me a screenshot of the Night limits? I see they are Custom, so it would be good to know what you set there.
Also, is your camera set to Raw or Raw+JPG, and if you have two cards, is it set to backup, overflow or Raw on one, jpg on the other card?
We've recently made some improvements in our Canon implementation, but it will mainly affect newer cameras than yours. We're planning to release an update soon.

Hi Oliver,
Thank you for the prompt reply, I appreciate it.
I tried Raw + jpg to 2 different cards, to 1 card as well as Raw + no jpeg and the auto ramp didn't change the setting in all 3 scenarios.
Is there a guide somewhere with recommended camera settings?
Below are screenshots of some of the settings I tried while simulating sunrises/sunsets by adding filters/lens caps to the camera while it shot.
Please let me know what you advise I try next.
