Foolography Community

I'm just now playing around with Holy Grail day to night. I understand how the algorithm works except I don't know for sure what manual adjustment do. When I choose + 10% does that mean that the exposure value is increased? (i.e. going from 1/30th to 1/15th or f4 to f2.8)

I was shooting a TL and it seemed like it was working in the opposite direction. When I selected - 10% it seemed to be increasing the shutter speed not decreasing.

I couldn't find it anywhere in the documentation or videos.
