I suggest you always provide details on both camera and smartphone you are using.

Hi MAC,
Auto ISO should be settable, it should be all the way to the top in the ISO picker. We know of some weird behavior where the ISO value "jumps" around to whatever value the camera is setting ISO to.
If you really can't set Auto ISO, please let me know what camera you're using and we will investigate the issue.

Hi Andy,
the ISO slider does not display 'Auto ISO' for my camera.
Kind Regards

Ok, I thought you had a Canon camera. Apparently, there is indeed an issue with Auto ISO on Nikon. It's in our to-do list now.

I concur. In the camera menu "Aufnahme" -> "ISO Empfindlichkeitseinst." set the ISO to e.g. 640 and ISO-Automatik to ON.
Using the app you change the ISO to 320. Take a photo of a dark wall and check the EXIFs. The iso will be pushed to the maximum.
Assuming the ISO Automatic is turned off and you want to turn it on. How do you do that?
Explanation:
With this setting you change the base ISO value. The first line in above's "Aufnahme" -> "ISO Empfindlichkeitseinst." menu.
You get neither told that iso-automatic is on or off nor can you change this setting.
That is logically correct as the iso setting in the app calls the iso setting API of the camera. But from a user perspective it is questionable.
Hence the request to use the selector to change the base ISO. Plus a button to turn auto-iso on/off.

We already have the info about AUTO ISO, even for Nikon. I thought we had merged it together with the ISO value, to present it to the user in the same way that Canon does it (Auto at the very top of the list). We were debating adding a second picker in the ISO Setting to switch between Auto and not auto, while leaving the actual value available as well, which as wdaehn correctly states becomes the base value of the Auto ISO function.
We will fix this in the next firmware update!
