Lost connection with canon 5D Mark III

Ok, so I purchased two of the units and neither work 100%. The unit for my canon 5D Mark III, now loses connection and has no lights on the unit. The one for my Canon 1DX Mark III will not show any photo reviews. I have updated all firmware, the app in on my iPhone and is up to date. Where do I go from here?
