Hi all
After days of mucking around I finally (and seemingly randomly) managed to pair the Unleashed 22 with my Fuji XH2.
The good news is that it now pairs immediately every time and accurately manages all the camera settings - really fast and very accurate.
The bad new is that the Holy Grail function seems to do nothing at all regardless of which of the four available algorithms I apply. The camera fires correctly for the interval chosen but none of the camera settings change with the changing light.
Is this a known issue? Is there some trick to this that Im unaware of?
Any help would be greatly apprciated.
Holy Grail. - Fuji XH2
So frustrating.
Even though the XH2 can be controlled via the app there appears to be no way for the Holy Grail algorithms to activate any change within the camera. Ive tried posting here and sending off emails to Foolography but Im not getting any response to this issue.
I have a feeling that this device was never properly tested with the Fuji XH2. Im assuming that I'll be refunded for a return, right?
Its a shame, I really like the design of both the unit and the application, but their customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

This is indeed one of the biggest problems. Every camera maker comes up with a bunch of new models every year. Some of them are backwards compatible to older models and software, some come with new features which are well documented, but there are makers with no documentation about what they are doing, procducing closed systems. The badest exapmle is Sony. Many devs of 3rd party produces ceased support for Sony, due to poor/missing documentation of e.g. SDks.I have a feeling that this device was never properly tested with the Fuji XH2.
And most devs can not afford to spend thousands of Dollar for the latest camery models every year. And the camera makers are not willing to give away their latest models for free to those devs. And TBH, Foolography is simply a nobody (like many others) in the eyes of the camera makers.
Bad thing of course is, when a model is marked as 100% compatible. Did you check th compatibilty list. I see there that the XH2 does not support ev-meter based Holy Grail.

Im not sure where you read that. On the compatibility page it claims the Fuji XH2 is 100% compatible for Holy Grail. Could you point me to your source?
And while I agree with you that compatibility must be extremely difficult for a small startup to comply with, they nonetheless claimed that the device works with my specific camera - which I why I purchased it and have literally spent days attempting to get it to function as promised.
I cant get any serious response to this from Foolography, so perhaps it is me who is the fool.
