Dear support team,
unfortunately I run into an issue/bug with Unleashed 22 N2 on Nikon D750 where seams related to Unleashed contacts connections with the camera.
I done an extensive test comparing, on my Nikon D750, my new unleashed N2 (s/n 015108) with one lent by a friend of mine (s/n 002947).
Both unleashed:
- are version N2
- have firmware updated: A3.5.0, B3.5.1, C3.3.1
- Mobile app version 3.2.0 [6133] installed on iOS 18.2
Here the two tests done (I have also recorded a video that I can share if you want)
1-unleashed connected to Nikon D750 (no usb cable): test if the camera can be controlled by Unleashed mobile app
1a- Unleashed N2 s/n 002947 (the one lent to me) —> tested with mobile app photo section: all work correctly. When unleashed N2 is connected to the camera, in the mobile app all basic functionalities, like aperture or ISO, worked properly.
1b- Unleashed N2 s/n 015108 (mine bought on 8/12/29024) —> tested with mobile app photo section: when connected to the camera, the app recognizes the connection but all the functionalities (i.e in photo area) are grey and not usable. Only pressing with the thumb on the unleashed surface connected to the camera, the functionalities in the app (like aperture or ISO) become white and usable. After few seconds all turn to gray and unusable again.
Test repeated many times with the same result.
2- Unleashed N2 connected using also USB cable
2a- Unleashed N2 s/n 002947 —> test if the advanced functionality (like metering) work as expected
2b- Unleashed N2 s/n 015108 —> tested with mobile app photo section: advance functionalities (like metering) do not work and are all grey. When I tap on one of those, I receive the following error:
“USB is not active. Check USB connection and camera settings.”
Only if I pull the USB cable in the direction of the camera front all the extended functionalities start to work but after few moments they become unavailable again.
Test repeated many times with the same result.
As last, I did also the test 1 on an other camera I have (in this case is a Nikon Z6 IIII) and I had the same problems faced with the Nikon D750.
Of course I did not have the chance to repeat test 2 on Nikon Z6 III as the cable connection is different from the one provided for D750 camera.
