Nikon D3200 & N2 not playing nicely [fixed with FW update]

We tested as good as we can. But there will always be things we didn't find. If you found things that apparently don't work as they should, you can report them here so we can take care of them as soon as possible.

Hi Liquidgoat:

if you just close the app (ie switch to another app, or go to the home screen, or simply turn off the smartphone's display), it's still open in the background, and can remain connected with the Unleashed (turqoise slow pulsing), which is important if you use Geotagging.
If you "kill" the app, by swiping it away in the app changer, it's completely closed, will lose the connection to the Unleashed (yellow slow pulse), and will therefore also not be able to provide GPS data to the Unleashed anymore (red flash between pulses).

And yes, the LED is turned off in deep sleep, as its power use is not insignificant!

So how much of the feature set is working on the D3200?

Can you adjust most of the camera's Photo settings?

Can you reliably trigger long exposures, maybe something like bulb mode?

Does it work without causing the camera's menu controls to lock up? Or being able to review the pictures using the D-pad and other controls?

Hi Hyy,

yes, timelapses, long exposures and changing most of the main settings works with the D3200

as I wrote above, only the Image transfer (and related) features, as well as video don't work. and some settings are not as detailled.

And no, there is no issue with the menu control lock-up - as I wrote in the other threads, that's now definitely a hardware problem with your specific Unleashed, nothing to do with the camera type or the Unleashed generally. You're not the only one with this problem, but it's a very small number of customers.
