I dont know if this is a feature request or a bug report ;-)

If I enable GPS on Unleashed'22 than I do get the GPS on my Canon EOS 5dsr. In my settings the sync time is getting synced from camera->unleased and unleashed to camer properly.
So far perfect!

In my Canon GPS menu I can enable directions and also calibrate the "compass".
In the resulting GPS Info screen no according value is displayed.

(using newest Firmware on Unleashed'22 with newest App from Android Store)

Grüße
Georg

I moved it to feature wishes, as it's not a bug.

The Unleashed does not support a compass direction. Canon's GP-E2 does, and since that's the only official GPS receiver, the cameras have some menu items related to it. We do not send any compass information to the camera, so it really shouldn't be showing N 0º, but rather -- or something like that.

Unfortunately, I can also already tell you that we won't be able to add a compass direction to the Unleashed - least of all to the Unleashed M. We did initially plan for a magnetometer chip to be added to the N1, N2, C1 and C2 models, but because of extremely low demand, we never put in the effort or added production cost for making it possible. When designing the M, we decided against leaving the space for the magnetometer, so we could use the valuable space for other components. The chances for a magnetometer to work properly next to a strong neodymium magnet would have been very slim.
