firmware update keeps failing
I am trying to update my unleashed firmware to v3.4 (needed for a lot of the functionality, much to my dismay last night). It keeps failing. I have tried the trick of killing the app in Android, turn off bluetooth on the phone, take battery off my Sony A7IV, then do these steps in reverse before att...

order of operations for holy grail milky way timelapse
This might be a newbie question, but then I am a newbie. When choosing the ramping order for a holy grail milky way time lapses I was thinking of: 0. Focus at infinity during daylight. 1. begin with a landscape-appropriate aperture, e.g. F8 or F5.6. 2. Set the limit aperture to that I would choose f...

Re: Power solutions for long time lapses
Just want to report some success with a $30 dummy battery with just a USB-C cable and a small 2-year old small-ish power bank from Anker. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08LNTPLCK https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B096TP4B1T I tested that this solution powered my Sony A7IV, my Sony A7RV, and my Sony A670...

timelapse mode indication of the time remaining
The timelapse mode gives some weird and uninformative indication of the time remaining (or at least it does not make intuitive sense). https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/bpasgoyxl7y5zvdxdgu3i/2024-02-20-18.37.17.png?rlkey=96g2oe1wfowvg8g1yyciyvdix&dl=0 In the example above, I had set a series of three s...

Re: Power solutions for long time lapses
Thanks Otto. I think I am going to try something simple first with a cheap dummy battery and the power bank I already have. If that turns out to be a bust, I might well come back to your web site.
I appreciate the knowledge.

Pierre

Power solutions for long time lapses
Hi everyone, I use the unleashed on a Sony A7IV. Works great, but it drains the battery pretty quick. The unleashed occupies the USB C port that can power the camera. There is another micro-USB port but it won't charge the camera. I am curious what approaches other users have adopted to power the ca...

Re: Unleashed does not trigger timelapse in bulb mode
Oliver, I want to confirm that the latest firmware update solves the issue. I am thrilled. Hoping for some clear nights to test on real stars as opposed to my home office. I have a follow-up question. The timelapse mode gives some weird and uninformative indication of the time remaining (or at least...

Works for me too! I still have some questions I will ask in the thread I started but I am ready to declare my unleashed usable, and wonderful!

Firmware update doom loop [solved with FW C3.3.1]
So excited tonight to upgrade the firmware to the unleashed so that I can finally use it for long exposures on my Sony A7IV. But I seem to have entered a firmware update doom loop and the unleashed appears not not be usable anymore, The update first seem like it was doing well, and then it stalled. ...
